Elevator Pit and Shaft Insulation

Lift pits and shafts are often the deepest, most water-exposed part of the ground. System choice follows negative or positive water pressure conditions.

Continuity inside the pit is reinforced at corners and construction joints. Thin concrete or render layers are removed or repaired if they are unsuitable before membrane work.

Seals at transitions to the machine room and cable penetrations are executed with manufacturer-compatible accessories.

Concrete pour sequences are aligned with waterproofing shifts; temporary pumping and safety measures in the pit are planned in advance.
